Humane Bird Removal & Control Services

Bird Removal TorontoSWAT Wildlife’s experienced technicians will complete a thorough inspection of your home or business to determine where the birds are entering, and also point out potential entries before any further problems may arise.

SWAT Wildlife will humanely remove birds from their established nesting spots as well as remove all existing nesting material.

If younger birds are not able to fly, SWAT Wildlife’s experienced technicians will be able to forecast the proper time in which the young birds will be ready for removal. This is the most humane approach to bird removal.

Birds that remain around the problem area are actually committed to it emotionally. How long they have been there and how comfortable they are will ultimately determine how difficult it will be to send them elsewhere. SWAT Wildlife uses three key methods of pressure when it comes to bird removal: Heavy, Medium and Light.

Light Pressure

Areas that are commonly referred to as light pressure spots are “take it or leave it” sites for pest birds. They may stop in to soak up some afternoon warmth but due to lack of food and shelter, their stop is brief. SWAT Wildlife uses a glue like caulking called, “Tangle Foot” as light pressure to deter birds from staying.

Medium Pressure

Birds are somewhat committed to medium pressure sites. These areas are typically spots to rest or observe food opportunities. Although they are committed to the area, they do not roost or nest there. SWAT Wildlife uses bird spikes for a medium pressure.

Heavy Pressure

Birds that are very committed an area will require heavy pressure. Chances are they were born there and or raised their own young in the same place. When necessary, the SWAT Wildlife team will install polycarbonate heat and weather resistant spikes to prevent and deter pigeons and other wildlife from intruding on your property.
Leaving birds to live in or on your house can have some very serious consequences for your property and your health.

Bird droppings tend to be acidic, and can corrode various materials like shingles, stone, and metal gutters. If left untreated for too long, an accumulation of bird droppings on a rooftop can actually create a heavy weight that could collapse the roof in time.

Birds’ nests also cause numerous problems for home and business owners. They often block drains, gutters and air vents. Clogged drains can lead to leaks and water damage. Blocked exhaust vents are especially dangerous if they lead to a build-up of carbon monoxide inside. Since nests tend to be quite flammable, birds’ presence can also increase the risk of fire in your home or business.

This is why it is important to have our experienced team humanely remove birds before they cause serious problems.
